biography

Dr. Erika Hubatschek, birth in 1917 in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, moving the family to Bruck an der Mur, Styria, the father returns home in 1918 from the war. In 1935, Erika decided to study in Graz: Physical Education, and Germanic. Ever since early childhood like in the mountains, she comes by chance to Innsbruck. Consequently, it is "over the mountains then came to the mountain farmers. Erika studied in Innsbruck geography and ethnology. In 1940 she makes her dissertation on the pastures and mountain meadows in Lungau, Salzburg. She teaches geography and physical education in high school in Innsbruck Sillgasse. In 1978 she founded retires with 71 years of a publishing house, writes books about the mountain farmers, they illustrated with own photographs.
